Delhi Land Pooling Policy - A Precious Gift for Delhi Development

A precious gift has been given by Anil Baijal (Lieutenant-Governor of Delhi) to Delhi named as Delhi Land Pooling (DLP) policy. The policy got the approval from the Delhi development authority (DDA) on 7 September 2018. Under this policy, the DDA will occupy the land own by the landowners and compose them in a big land for development.

The most favorable part of this policy is that the owner can receive back a fixed amount of the land after development. Land Pooling Policy will change the old criteria of land acquisition in which Government occupy the land by giving some compensation against the land and the ownership transfers to the Government. In the old policy, the landowners were uncomfortable due to less compensation and forcefully acquisition.

It is a good chance for landowners to serve the city. In this way, they can play an important role in the development of the city. According to the scheme, if a landowner offers 2 to 20 hectares of land then he will get back his 48%, while for the 20% of land offered, the landowner will get back 60% of his land after the development.  So, to offer more land is beneficial for both the parties.
This policy will provide us with residential buildings and basic facilities like water supply, sewage system and drainage for daily life at a reasonable cost.

Now, on Land Pooling policy, Delhi Development Authority and Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs working on online portal for land submission. this portal will Launch till end January 2019 We can expect something positive soon.
